Social Events
Please note that all social events require pre-booking as part of your conference registration, even when the event is free of charge. Places are limited for each event, and bookings will be on a “first come, first served” basis. The deadline for registration for all social events for delegates and their partners is 30 SEPTEMBER, 2007. The conference registration form, which includes accommodation and all social events, can be found at the Local Host Web-Site.
Wednesday, 24 October 2007: Pre-conference event
2 - 4 pm Special sports science presentation of recent research and developments by scientists from the Australian Institute of Sport. This event is provided free of charge but booking is required with conference registration by 30 September 2007. After the presentation, delegates may take the opportunity for early conference check-in.

Time TBA Welcome Reception – details will be available in May at the Local Host Web-Site. This event is provided free of charge to delegates. Partners may attend for a fee of A$50.00. Booking is required with conference registration by 30 September 2007.

CLOSED – FULLY BOOKED! 3 - 5.30 pm Ballets Russes Tour to the National Library of Australia (NLA) and the National Gallery of Australia (NGA). The NLA is presenting a display comparing the physiques of Ballets Russes dancers with those of ballet dancers of today, especially curated for IADMS conference delegates. The NGA is offering delegates a private viewing of original costumes from the Diaghilev repertoire. Delegates may also take a quick look at the Gallery’s magnificent collection of Australian and international art. This event is provided for delegates and their partners for a fee of A$25.00 per person to cover transport. Booking is required with conference registration by 30 September 2007.
7 - 10 pm Conference Dinner in the Great Hall, University House. A formal 3-course dinner with Australian wines, served in elegant surroundings. The dinner is provided for delegates and their partners for a fee of A$140.00 per person. Booking is required with conference registration by 30 September 2007.

6.00 - 7.30 pm Networking Reception at the Australian Institute of Sport. This reception, with wine and finger-food, is supported by Cecchetti Ballet Australia Inc. It is provided free of charge to delegates, and partners may attend for a fee of A$35.00 per person. Booking is required with conference registration by 30 September 2007. |
