Pre-Conference Anatomy in Clay™ Education Course
"Diving Into the Center: Exploring the Anatomy of the Torso, Hip and Lower Limb and How it Creates Movement"
A three-day workshop, October 11-13, will help dance and movement educators, physical therapists, dancers, and movers of all kinds, to better understand the anatomy and kinesiology of the torso, hip, and lower limb. Faculty are Nora St. John, Program Director of Balanced Body University-Pilates on Tour, and Laura Allard, Owner of Iyengar Yoga Center of Boulder, both representatives of the Zoologik®System. Nora and Laura will guide participants through building muscular anatomy in clay onto Maniken™ models. They will combine this hands-on learning with movement exercises to embody the understanding. This kinesthetic process replaces confusion with a three-dimensional understanding of the "center." Located in the San Francisco area, enrollment is limited to 24 participants. 1. $825 tuition and lab fees including use of a Maniken model; 2. $700 tuition for Maniken owners; 3. $1495 for tuition and purchase of a model. IADMS discount $25. Early registration discount $60 (by September 10). Bring a friend discount $50.
Registration: Nora +1 925-200-6470 (nora@turningpointstudios.com) or Laura +1 303-550-0578 (lauraallard@boulderyoga.com). Zoologik System website: www.anatomyinclay.com |
