The Adolescent Dancer:

A day of practical workshops, lectures and performance examining how we can support the health and wellbeing of children and young people through dance.

  • Provide high quality, evidence-based information about training the Adolescent Dancer from social, psychological and physical perspectives
  • Develop increasing interest in applied dance medicine and science research in educational settings, established by the IADMS Education Committee, 1DUK workshops and seminars and the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training Healthy Young Dancer seminar series
  • Share models of best practice in working with and for children and young people

10.30 – 11.00am:  Keynote Presentation - Speaker to be confirmed

11.00 – 12.00noon:  Training the Adolescent Dancer: Physiological and Psychological Perspectives, Siobhan Mitchell, University of Bath
